Exploring best practices and strengthening synergies between regional centers of forest and land fire excellence is an important process of exchange which also serves to further diplomacy and cross-border collaboration for addressing fire challenges sustainably between countries and regions in Southeast Asia and around the world. The Global Fire Monitoring Center aims to promote this strategy of decentralization through the establishment of regional fire monitoring and management resource centers in different regions of the world.
